A true believer in public art, African American muralist Hershell West advocates, creates and teaches.  He has commissioned works from Florida to the San Francisco Bay Area.  A California resident for over 15 years, he's served on art commissions and the boards of arts non-profits.  He also helps organize the annual exhibition, The Art of Living Black- (TAOLB) -and on top of it all, he's a good speaker full of interesting stories, as is evident in this show.

In creating this show, producer-director Eve A. Ma of Palomino Productions was struck by what an excellent role model she had found in Hershell West..
